I grew up in my parents' bookshop in France and used to bring home the books I wanted to read every evening. I have very broad tastes which go from Literary Fiction, YA, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Historical Fiction to Classics, LGBT Fiction, Translated fiction (especially if French, Italian and Japanese), Plays.... and Non-Fiction as well (gender studies, politics, international relations, human rights, law, science...).
After starting the blog in 2009, I'm pleased to say that my lovely friend Becky has now joined me to share her love of books on the blog!

I have always loved reading, from when I was 9 years old getting
hooked on books by Jacqueline Wilson and Colin Dann, to my teenage years where
I devoured classics by Daphne du Maurier and Margaret Mitchell. I couldn’t get
enough of reading which is why I went on to study English and American
Literature at the University of Kent. Since graduating I have forged a career
within publishing which is great for book worms like me, as you have access to
all the latest releases and backlist classics. I enjoy reading all genres, from
Crime Fiction, Non-Fiction Autobiographies to Contemporary Fiction and Vintage Classics.
I do have a soft spot for Magical Realism though, with Love in the Time of Cholera and House
of Spirits being two of my favourite reads of all time.
